In actual drilling operations, potassium formate has no solid phase, wide adjustable density range, high temperature resistance, strong inhibition, low corrosion, anti-pollution, good environmental adaptability, good oil layer protection effect, low friction, and various treatment agents Good compatibility and other advantages. Good results have been achieved in practical applications, and it has been quickly promoted and applied. It is currently the formate used mainly in organic salts for drilling fluids.
