The effects of potassium formate concentration, dissolution temperature and dissolution time on the solubility of sodium chloride and calcium sulfate have been studied experimentally. The results show that temperature has a great influence on the solubility of calcium sulfate in potassium formate solution. The dissolution of calcium sulfate in potassium formate solution with the same concentration increases with the increase of temperature.


Temperature also has a great influence on the solubility of sodium chloride. The solubility of sodium chloride in the same concentration of potassium formate solution increases first with the increase of temperature (from 25 to 65 degrees °C), then decreases to a peak, and finally tends to a constant value. When the concentration of potassium formate solution is lower than 20%, the solubility of calcium sulfate increases with the increase of potassium formate concentration, and when the concentration of potassium formate solution is higher than 2%, sulfuric acid. When the concentration of potassium formate reaches 50%, the effect of potassium formate concentration on the solubility of calcium sulfate decreases; at the same temperature, the solubility of sodium chloride decreases with the increase of potassium formate concentration.
